The Root Standard
Four things we hold ourselves to.
Four principles, applied to every bottle before it leaves Buea. This is what we hold ourselves to — not a claim, a standard.

Know where the Maison comes from: Buea, at the base of Mount Cameroon.
02
Formula
Know what enters the bottle, and why each part earns its place.
03
Ritual

Evidence
We describe what the product does. We do not promise what we cannot support.
The scalp-first ritual
Your hair does not begin at the ends. It begins at the scalp.
Sève Racine was created as a scalp-first ritual for hair experiencing dryness, breakage and weakness.
Nourish the scalp
A measured application at the root, where the ritual starts.
Support stronger-feeling hair
Consistent care, intended to help hair feel more resilient over time.
Reduce the appearance of dry, brittle lengths
Oil worked through vulnerable ends as part of the same ritual.
The botanical archive
Selected with care. Presented with clarity.
A rich blend of botanical oils and herbs, gathered from the slopes of Mount Cameroon and pressed in Buea.

The ritual
Four steps. The same order, every time.
A few drops, worked from root to length, two to four times a week. The same order, every time.
01
Scalp — apply deliberately at the root, where the ritual begins.
02
Massage — work it through the scalp with the fingertips.
03
Lengths — distribute what remains through the ends.
04
Ritual — repeat two to four times a week, without exception.
The Fondjo Journal
In their own words.
The Fondjo Journal / 001
“My hair is growing so much. The back and the front are both filling in.”
Janice
The Fondjo Journal / 002
“I hadn't even used it every day, for only two weeks, but you should see my front hair now. Even my mom noticed and asked me to get her a bottle.”
Ako
The Fondjo Journal / 003
“If you saw my hair before, you'd know I never really had much. Now it's gotten so thick I'll need to relax it again soon.”

Buea, Cameroon.
Before Maison Fondjo was a brand, Fondjo was a family name. Our story begins beneath Mount Cameroon, in Buea — a place of volcanic earth, rain, vegetation and generations of people who understood that what grows well begins with what lies beneath. Maison Fondjo carries that idea forward through considered hair rituals made for today.
Founder story
A family name, carried carefully.
Buea is not decoration in this story. It is the place where the product is made, tested, handled, and held to a standard.
MF
Fondjo is the family name. Racine means root. Together they set the discipline of Maison Fondjo: begin with the scalp, respect the material, and make every bottle with the restraint expected of something carrying a name.
